Zambezi Gorge – Livingstone, Zambia

Zambezi Gorge

Looking down into Zambezi Gorge

Crossed from Zimbabwe to Zambia to stay in a campsite on the other side of the falls. Some of the group went to view the falls by microlite, but I opted for the helicopter option, which was probably a mistake, but still looked amazing.

In the afternoon we went to do the Zambezi Gorge Swing. George went first, screaming. Dylan swore all the way down and I was strangely silent, if somewhat ungainly as I swung into a tree. It was a 54m straight drop, then a long swing out over the gorge.

Thankful to be alive we headed back to the camp to join a sunset cruise, which just happened to have a free bar.

The next morning our t-shirts arrived – the designer had done an excellent job, but still some people found things to complain about.
