You’re walking mighty fast just to see a hole – Kimberley, South Africa

Big Hole Kimberley

After a long couple of days driving we arrive in Kimberley to visit the Big Hole. Frankie Howerd would be proud. This and the young ladies camped next door seemed to set off a bout of innuendo which culminated in Royce suggesting we spend the evening “teepee creeping”

Anyway, the Big Hole was exactly that. A big hole full of water, which used to be a massive diamond mine.

This evening was our first taste of Amarula, a cream liqeur similar to Baileys, but flavoured with the Amarula fruit, which became another theme for the trip.
