Roman Holiday – Rome, Italy

Trevi Fountain

I loved Rome. It’s a compact city with famous sights round every corner. Food was fresh and cheap and the last day spent in Vatican City was spectacular. Particularly recommended is going to the banks of the river for live music in the evenings, followed by dinner in the old town on the south side.

Other highlights include the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps.

Rome Tips

If you get hungry or thirsty, just step a street or two away from the main tourist areas and there are quieter and much, much cheaper bars and restaurants.
