New Years Eve – Siem Reap, Cambodia

We spent New Years Eve wandering round the temples in the Angkor Wat complex.

Angkor Wat

Started off in Ta Prohm, the overgrown temple made famous by the Tomb Raider movies.

Moved on to the Bayon which is covered in faces of various rulers.

Finally we came to the highlight of the trip, Angkor Wat.

For New Years Eve we’d managed to get an excellent central table in the aptly named Pub Street, which had been turned into an open air nightclub for the evening. Like the afternoon in Hoi An, we took centre stage and held court whilst friends old and new walked by, dropped in or danced on the table.

Very good night, probably best displayed with the before and after pictures.
