Ten favourite views in Bagan, and one blight on the landscape – Myanmar

With over a thousand photos of Bagan, mostly of temples, it was tricky to choose the ten most memorable.

My favourite view was from Dhamma Za Yi Ka Pagoda

And the pagoda was very attractive:

The large building is Dhammayan Gyi

…and the worst view from Bagan

This is the Nan Myint (High Palace) watch tower, built in 2005 as a hotel and viewing platform. It’s built right in the middle, amongst all the ancient temples. For those inside it probably commands stunning views across the plains, but is a travesty for those on the outside and despised by everyone we met.
