Completed the 12 hour flight into Cape Town this morning. Dropped off the luggage at the guest house then headed off down to the waterfront for a look round and a few beers. Managed not to buy any tacky souvenirs yet.
About 6pm all the different travellers convened at the guest house to meet Michele the tour leader. The group was from Britain, Canada and New Zealand, and seemed pretty old – 1 in their 20’s, two in their 30’s, one in their 40’s and the other 6 were 60+.
After a quick briefing we headed to a restaurant in town ‘The House of Meat’, which was as good as the name suggests. Had a mixed antelope kebab with Impala, Eland and Kudu.
