Top of the world – Everest, Nepal

Got picked up a 7 am to drive to the airport for a plane ride over the Everest mountain range. As we flew along the stewardess pointed out mountains and eventually Everest which was handily marked by a huge plume of snow blowing from it’s summit.

As we got there an annoying chap sitting on the wrong side of the plane decided to nearly sit in my lap to take photos so the rather lovely stewardess took me into the cockpit to get a better view out of the side windows, which made an excellent ending to a long trip.

After such a good start the rest of the day was a little mundane – I had to sit in the Jet Airways office for hours whilst they tried to figure out how come I was holding a ticket when they’d lost all records of the booking. I was about to break and go to another airline when Expedia rang from the UK and got another passenger bumped from the full flight, so apologies to Mrs K Thompson, but I did book over 5 months before you.
