Tired – Bukhara, Uzbekistan

Bukhara

I spent 9 hours yesterday walking round the cobbled streets of Bukhara, which is amazing – better than Samarkand.

Today have been rushing around all morning trying to get the springs welded for the truck and rotating the tires with the spares on the back (I offered to help out as one of the drivers is currently ill).

Exhausted I just found an empty tea house and sat sipping saffron tea and munching on Uzbek sweets whilst writing my postcards, so feeling much better.

Went souvenir shopping that evening and was quite enjoying it, until I declined to buy anything from one lady who then thought it appropriate to shout after me down the street:

“You’re a woman, not a man!”
