After a long drive across the featureless Namib desert we arrived at Sesriem and my favourite campsite where we drank warm beer and played the locals on a dilapidated pool table long into the evening.

Etosha National Park – Etosha, Namibia
Two days in the Etosha National Park with more game viewing – saw the usual, plus Gemsbok, Springbok, Jackal and Wildebeest. Also saw a lion chasing a giraffe. Not sure I wanted to see it getting ripped to shreds, but it managed to get away.
Highlight was getting a glimpse of a rare Black Rhino.

The “Funky Camp” – Ngepi, Namibia
Two days driving got us to Namibia and the long promised “funky camp” at Ngepi. It had a lot of quirky features such as outside toilets and a swimming cage in the Okavango river without getting attacked by the ever present hippos.
