Arrived at the airport to find that my visa is no longer valid. Apparently changing flight at Shanghai counts as having entered the country, so the visa is expired. Am currently sat in the airport for 6 hours and $120 lighter [...]
Caught the bus to Aberdeen on the south side of the island today. It’s a little fishing port with a couple of enormous restaurants floating in the center. Took a Sampan over to the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, but got soaked by a boat going the other way so had to sit in a smart restaurant [...]
Had a day of testing Hong Kong’s transport system – the MTR underground is excellent and really easy to use. Took the Star Ferry over to the Kowloon waterfront, which I thought gave a better view of the city than Victoria Peak.
