You're Not From Around Here, Are You?
This was a trip of firsts – first donkey ride, first hot-air balloon ride and first Wonder of the World.
Starting in Cairo we visited the Pyramids and the Cairo Museum, then travelled along the Nile from Aswan to Luxor by fellucca. This simple sailing boat had little or no protection from the 40C heat. Be very wary of falling in the water as it’s filthy – I caught Hepatitis A there, which was no fun when camping.
