Khiva Sunset

Just climbed down off the highest minaret in town after watching the sun set over Khiva.

Bought too many souvenirs so need to post some stuff home. Nice thing about Khiva is that you’re buying direct from the workshop, from the guys that make the stuff so they’re adding personalised touches for us at no extra cost.

Had another haircut – 500som, which is about 40p, and you get what you pay for. Inspired by the haircut, we decided to have a hat party, with everyone wearing the weird hats we’ve bought along the way.

Had evening meal on a balcony overlooking the town. It all gets lit up at night so the orange buildings are all shaded in pinks and blues. Very nicely done.
